Basic Rider 3 Wheeler Course

WHEN 

The 2-day Basic Rider Course is offered at our Groton location from approximately 9 am to 6 pm.


WHAT

To pass, and receive the NYS Road Test Waiver, students must successfully complete a classroom session e-course, as well as completing the objectives of 10 riding exercises and passing a riding skills test.


If you are 16-18 years old or have restrictions on your drivers license, check with NYS Department of Motor Vehicles regulations regarding motorcycle licensing. If you are under 18, a parent must stop in to the first classroom session to sign the participation waiver.


**WE PROVIDE CAN-AM SPYDERS FOR BASIC RIDER 3 WHEELER COURSE TRAINING**

Course Completion Card + NYS Motorcycle Learners Permit = Road Test Waiver


Required for participation:

** You must bring ALL YOUR OWN GEAR**

Valid NYS Drivers License required for all participants of any age – bring to class! 
Also, bring your NYS Motorcycle Permit if you have one (optional but highly recommended, a valid permit will be required before getting your license).

  • Valid NYS Drivers License required – bring to class!
  • Completion certificate from 5-hour (EP1x11) e-course (sent to you after payment).
  • NYS Motorcycle Permit – get this from DMV and bring to class (optional but highly recommended, a valid permit will be required before getting your license).
  • Minimal balance and physical fitness requirements. You must be able to ride a bicycle and be fit enough to complete a demanding program in ambient weather conditions.
  • Timely arrival for all sessions. Students arriving late will not be permitted to continue the program.
  • DOT approved helmet. Helmets are available for loan if needed.
  • Eye Protection
  • Long Sleeve Jacket
  • Sturdy Long Pants
  • Full Fingered Gloves
  • Sturdy Over the Ankle Footwear

All safety equipment and clothing must be in good repair with no holes or tears.

Recommended for participation:

You should bring with you any items needed to ensure your comfort and safety including snacks, drinks, medications, lunch, sunscreen, raingear and weather appropriate clothing. WE RIDE RAIN OR SHINE.
